eIDAS is an ecosystem play with network effects: The value of the network increases with every new participant. Here’s an overview of the most important communities.

eIDAS Expert Group: The eIDAS Expert Group consists of representatives from EU Member States, responsible for the detailed implementation and regulatory aspects of the eIDAS ecosystem.

ETSI: The European Telecommunications Standards Institute develops globally applicable standards for information and communications technologies, ensuring interoperability and security across digital systems.

OpenID Foundation promotes and develops open standards for identity management, focusing on interoperability and security in digital identity systems.

DC4EU: One of the EU large scale pilots focused on developing decentralized identity solutions in line with the eIDAS 2 framework.

EU Digital Wallet Consortium (EWC) an EU large scale pilot working on creating a standard and interoperable EUDI-Wallet.
